Regarding Coffee Packaging

Today, I am going to introduce you about Coffee Packagings.

Especially, for Roasted Coffee Beans. 

Nearlly, All the foods coming from nature needs protection against Oxygen and UV .

Oxygen degrades Coffee Beans.

So, for Coffee Packaging, We normally add Aluminium Foil in the middle to protect products.

Material Sturcture is PET Film/Aluminium Foil/LLDPE Film. 

PET film is used for printing.
LLDPE Film is used for sealing. 

ALuminium Foil has very high barrier level, But we also use VMPET film instead.
VMPET also has medium barrier level.

First, You need to laminate all these three layers.
Second, After it laminated films dries out, You need to put roll films on the bag making machine.
Third, Your bag is done.

The mostly used bag types are like below.

Pillow bag, We call it Side Gusset Bag

Cause It looks a lot like pillow. :)

It can't stand by itself, Unless you put full of products to make it stand still. 


Second type: Stand Up Pouch

It can stand by itself, since this has bottom gusset.  While the side gusset bag has gusset in both sides.


This is the difference.
